Neon Verdict is an independent editorial desk that reviews famous video games and itemises what they cost to buy in the UK. We started it because reviews tell you whether a game is good, store pages tell you what it costs, and almost nobody puts the two side by side.
What we cover
Twelve well-known games at a time, chosen because a lot of people are deciding whether to buy them. Each verdict covers the game itself, then the checkout: every UK store that sells it, the editions, the extras, in-game spending, subscriptions that include it, which payment methods each store takes and how refunds work.
Alongside the verdicts sits a checkout guide for eight stores, a guide to payment methods, a plain-English summary of UK consumer law, a spending-limits guide for every major platform and a tool that routes you to the right store for the way you want to pay.
What we do not do
- We do not take payment from publishers, stores or payment firms for verdicts, rankings or mentions.
- We do not use affiliate or tracking links. Store links on this site earn us nothing.
- We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
- We do not review games whose shops sell randomised paid items. That keeps every verdict on this site about games you can price in advance.
Corrections
Prices and policies change. When a reader or our own re-check finds a difference, we fix the page, update the checked date and log the change on the price watch. Send corrections through the contact page.
