Xbox cut Game Pass Ultimate from £22.99 to £16.99 and PC Game Pass from £13.49 to £10.99 on 21 April 2026. PlayStation Plus prices rose for new members on 20 May 2026. From November 2026 Xbox cloud play gets monthly hour limits: 15 hours on Ultimate, 10 on Premium, 5 on Essential.

Switching off auto-renewal
- Xbox: account.microsoft.com/services, choose the subscription, then Manage and Cancel subscription (or turn off recurring billing). On console: Settings, Account, Subscriptions.
- PlayStation: on PS5, Settings, Users and Accounts, Account, Payment and Subscriptions, Subscriptions, Cancel Subscription. On the web: Account Management, Subscription.
- Nintendo: in the eShop select your user icon and Terminate Automatic Renewal, or use accounts.nintendo.com. Do it at least 48 hours before the end date, because Nintendo renews 48 hours early.
- EA: EA Account, Subscriptions and Memberships, Cancel membership. If you joined through PlayStation or Xbox, cancel there.
- Ubisoft: Ubisoft Store, your avatar, My Subscription, Cancel Membership.
Always cancel in the place you subscribed. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
What changes in 2027
The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 will bring in new rules for subscriptions: reminders before renewals, a cooling-off period after a renewal and an easy online way to leave. They are not in force yet. The government said on 9 August 2026 that they will start in January 2027; no exact day has been set.
